Workday Adaptive Planning

Recently got an offer from Workday for P3 SWE in the Data Platform and Observability org. The team is located in Palo Alto, CA. It seems the team is part of Workday Adaptive Planning. I wanted to get people’s opinion about few things. 1. How is the culture and WLB? How are the benefits? I read mixed reviews about the culture on Blind especially for this Planning organization. 2. Given the current market situation, how is the sentiment inside the company for layoffs etc? Are there any headcount re-evaluations? It’s important for me since I’m on a visa. 3. How are the career growth opportunities/promotions? 4. Tech stack seems interesting. And, team members seemed technically strong. Any insights on the team/organization will be really helpful. Didn't know workday paid so well ... Op can you tell us what is your yoe, also compensation breakdown ?

I don’t think DPOE is in Adaptive. Workday general WLB is good. I’m not too concerned about layoffs, except maybe some underperformers or a few small teams out of a 15k+ person company.

Makes sense. Can I DM you?

1. Culture and WLB depends on the team. But workday really prides itself on a good WLB. 2. Have heard nothing about layoffs, and they’re looking fairly unlikely. 3. There are opportunities if you get a good manager who is trying to give you those opportunities. Some people stay at the same role for awhile, others are promoted as they’ve proven themselves. The biggest thing to do is keep track of all your work done and when you have a Career & Progress Checkin to present that info. YOU are your best advocate. 4. YMMV P3 @ 300k though? Sounds fake tbh. What’s the breakdown look like? P3 ranges are between 120k-175k base, and refresher RSUs have been like 60k, with yearly bonus being 10k. But they’ve been aligning everyone at the mid point ~140-145k.

Thanks for the advice. I interviewed for P4 and got down leveled due to YOE. Interview performance was good I feel. So recruiter and HM told me they can give a higher offer.

Ah! Congrats mate. Mind sharing signing package info? Curious since I’m working towards P4 or a huge raise myself this year.
