Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
I have been working as a P3 for the past 2 years. Had a discussion with my manager about promotion. He says he can recommend me for a promotion mid year but the pot of money is less & I may not get rewarded financially. But he is sure the end of year promotion will be more financially rewarding. Should I go ahead & press for promotion right away or wait till end of year. Any thoughts ? Base - 170k TC - 220k
Get the promo, the money will follow.
Why is that the case ?
Op I would wait for end of the year (April) promo. Your manager is right there is no RSU grant for mid year unless you’re an attrition risk. What’s your current comp breakdown?
Huh? You mean if you get promoted in Oct, it’s not as good as in April? I thought it’s the same.
So—OP should become an attrition risk.
I am in similar position as you but I am just gonna look for new job so promo doesn’t really matter to me . I don’t want to wait till next April .
Why is workday having so much churn:( seems I need to start looking out too
lot of churn , my org was known for very low churn now I am hearing about people leaving not in droves though but still leaving
They're getting cheap and don't care about bay area retention. Cheaper talent in other cities is their new approach.
Is the churn happening in the acquisitions? Ie: analytics, planning
Yes happening in planning
Could you expand on what is happening in planning?
Lots of churn in presales on the HR side as well. People are leaving for better pay and to do shorter demos.
The Great Resignation is in full swing here. People are leaving left and right. A lot people have been waiting to move on and do leave when the highly exaggerated culture has declined due to many recent management changes.
Highly exaggerated culture 💯
yoe?
What level is P3? I have an upcoming interview and i have 14 yrs exp. The position is P3.
@ Dell - P3 is pretty low for 14 yoe. You should be aiming for P5 or higher.
