Would you join Lyft now?
Love the team (ML org), would go from Amazon L4 to Lyft T4 and TC would go up nearly 100k (168k -> 270k). Stock jumped up today. Hate my team at Amazon as there is no opportunity to grow. Promo would happen in Q3 at the earliest and even that is up in the air.
Leave but then immediately start interviewing again for when you get laid off
Join of course. Every two months in Lyft equals three months at Amazon in the team you hate. Just keep interviewing around. You can even join Amazon back on higher salary later.

I think they mean in terms of what your TC increase would be at Lyft
How scared are you of having visa issues? That's what's driving the vote here. For me, it's a no brainer jump. Even with lower TC difference, just career and wlb is enough

My friend from Amazon joined Lyft 2 months back, and now he returned back to Amazon. Not just job security, he hated the work here. The real question is how much do you hate Amazon.

No. Hell no. I am interviewing for Amazon. Hopefully folks like you leaving will create space for me. Lyft is not a company anymore. It’s like Groupon
Join lyft but only if you have good ranking at amazon. Returning to amazon is not so difficult only requires one manager interview from what Ive heard
