This post is for JPMORGAN employees who knows the culture of the firm. Let's respect this please.
They laid off people in October who they didn't want in my team. Now only people are there who contributes for the team.
What is a normal bonus?
Depends on role, col, contract etc, in hcol areas it’s 25k to 70k.
my mentee whose in lcol got above ratings and he was slapped in the face with 2.5k bonus and 1.5k raise
Either at the bonus disclosure meeting or later. Doesn't matter, though, I have always straightway said if I am happy or not. For not happy, my manager sensed I was really not happy and had another discussion in 2-3 days. Not JPM though but in same bracket.
Despite the blockbuster profits year? $49.6 bln… Its almost 1/5th of all US banks together
Is this for JPMORGAN or Tradeweb?
tradeweb is referring to Chase making 50 billion in profits this year alot of ppl got no raise and no bonus with avg ratings and we're heading to layoffs soon, so that could probably be the reasons why they don't want to give out money
Yep got mine today. No raise or bonus. This is completely ridiculous. Time to apply around TC took a 15% hit
Was it for JPMORGAN or for FordMotor
JP Morgan. I work there now and hadn’t updated my email
I used to work there and can confirm there isn’t use in saying anything. The only exception is if you are a high performer that the team has a hard dependency on (not just a hard worker, but a knowledge silo that would be missed). I would suggest leaving because JPMC is not a fun place to work, or quiet quitting
Is MS better than JPM as you've worked with both the banks?
Honestly they are pretty similar: very political with lots of red tape + more about kissing ass than being good at your job. I have a hidden gem of a team at MS and I am fortunate to be remote still with great WLB. I will probably never leave on purpose as long as that is the case. My bonus and raise this year were pathetic, but all things considered I am happy.
JPMC severely underpays . They tried to counter offer me and when they looked at my numbers (joined a well known fintech) my boss reaction was that even his boss doesn’t make that much. I learnt that day how pathetic salaries are at JP. So, no point discussing it just leave.
I got fed up with the politics.. joined recently performed my best and now my manager saying I will get compared with others who are there for 15+ years no hike or bonus
You are just an employee, exit if you don't like it. They just don't value you as much, and that reflects on your bonus. Gotta face the reality.
