Snyk or Sourcegraph

If you’ve used both products, which do you think has greater potential? If you’re familiar with both companies, where would you park yourself based on company values and culture? Been at Snyk for a while but SG slid into my DMs and is looking pretty appealing. #snyk #sourcegraph

Have not used Snyk, and have sourcegraph. Which is a decentish product. Would not pay a lot of money for it. But bigger question - why would you move away from security companies in the 20s.

Please elaborate. Are you saying that security companies have more potential now?

It’s obviously company specific but enterprise security is an exponentially growing market. People may stop buying data warehouses but not going to stop spending on security. Even if there is a decade long downturn. IMO this decade is going to see a lot of big winners in cloud and enterprise security. (I’ve invested in a bunch of stocks in this area and I believe it) I know nothing about snyk but if I were you and I really wanted to leave, I would join another security company and try transfer some of my domain knowledge and make good impact.

Ask Sourcegraph people about the security product they are working on. You’d be super valuable there in particular.

I think sourdegraph is pretty nice as a tool. Snyk is a good biz though, with good potential for an exit. Do you have much RSUs?
