Hi. I had an interview call with DO recruiter what she told is that DO isn’t giving RSU for new employees. Currently they are hiring for a position based out in the Bay Area. They are offering $90k base, bonus and other perks. Any thoughts on this. Current CTC: $90k,401k
That’s a pitiful salary. I wouldn’t even waste my time with an interview loop.
Lmaoooooooo LOL LOOOOL
$90K is what my butler pays his IT support person in Guatemala. That's not a Bay Area salary.
What’s the position for?
Fluffer it seems like
$90K is more like Fluffer's assistant.
90k is middle of nowhere rural Georgia salary. They must be proper insane to think this is a fitting salary for bay area.
If your current tc is 90k and they are offering exactly 90k it seems they are just trying match your salary and you gave them too much info.
This doesn't sound even remotely right for an IC. What role are you applying for? Customer support? Full-time? Contractor? If it requires being on-site, my guess is a datacenter engineer where you'd be moving racks and plugging in network and power cables, etc.
Yep. On site Data Center engineer role.
The job posting for datacenter engineer says that equity compensation is provided. Salary range is between 65k and 95k. I still think it's kind of low for Bay area, but I don't know what the market average is for DC techs.
Yeah it says so but the recruiter said company stopped giving RSU to new employees. Once you reach level 3 position the give RSUs 🤷🏻♂️ that’s what I was told.
