agency to client side

Working on the agency side for a while and finding the work life balance to be really tough to deal with. Considering going Client side in media next but want to be careful not to paint a “grass is always green” picture in my head. Would love some client side pro tips and experiences.

I did the transition, from ad agency to internal client agency. Pros: 40 hrs a week You don’t need to be a jack of all trades You get paid more At times you have nothing to do yet you still get paid. Cons: You have the same co workers for a long time. Work isn’t that exiting Smaller network Politics can be more annoying Agency life had better “culture”

Agree, better culture on agency side. Less direction, “figure it out” mentality on the client side. If you like the mentor ship that comes on the agency side, be prepared to not have that on client side (depends on company of course). Better work life balance on client side and better opportunities to do cool things.
