I had EM interview with Datadog with 5 loops. 3 went well and coding didn’t go well and system design was average. The recruiter did say that there some concerns but mostly will go for approval. So it’s not direct yes or no. My question is what are the chances this will go through, is there a committee like google that does package approval. Also what is good compensation number for engineering manager I level based in nyc
In general, if something is sent up for approval, they have made the decision to hire you and they just want to get the details and offer numbers worked out. Sounds like you’re in!
There is a committee, yeah. It’s not 100% and not 0%. It depends on what the concerns were, how relevant your experience is, how badly we need to fill that spot, etc. Good luck! Levels FYI seems to have pretty accurate comp numbers. EM1 is same level as Senior. EM2 same as Staff.
Thanks for response. It seems she was like nothing can be said. So thats definitely confusing as candidate whether it’s positive or not. She did ask for comp numbers and relocation time.
So what was the offer like, and level? 👀
So did you get offer? If so congrats and what was Tc?
No got rejected by committee :-(
Aw dang :( How long until recruiter got back to you after onsite tho? Like before committee
She got back in 2-3 days after onsite to say its positive and then 1-2 after committee tejected
What was the coding round like for EM? LC mediums?
I also want to know! What was the design question, and the coding question (s)? I’m applying for the same role.
