TC: 120k YOE: 2 in NYC at first job, looking to make switch because i dream of more than 🥜
120k... 😗 Weird flex but okay. I don't understand the abbreviations. I don't now what TC stands for. Tech Consultant?
Idk maybe I’m not underpaid. TC is total compensation.
Cool, thanks. I'm new here.
Overpaid by $40k based on employer.
Either that’s true or everyone with 0-1 YOE on levels.fyi is lying
They’re not lying. They’re embellishing. Totally different. 😂
IMHO one should not run for TC for the first 5 yrs of the career.. but focus more on learning and getting into good projects, teams and look for good mentors... Learn the skills of the trade, good TC is a byproduct that will eventually find you.
What if I said... I had only one (more like half) of the above?
Wait, you're on Schonfeld's core infra team? The fund itself is doing well do you at least get to invest? I was looking for investment team openings there. Not sure how helpful this is, but I think Exoduspoint and Point72 pay better on the core infra side. If you're really great with low latency obviously try HFT.
Uh, is this the wrong post?
Uh, OP works at Schonfeld, it's a multimanager hedge fund that's killing it.

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
Not underpaid at all... when I had two years of experience I was making 76k
How long ago was it? It’s just so weird. Nowadays new grads are making anywhere from 70k to 130k.
This was 8 years ago. I was 18. 27 now. Worked as an engineer through school.
