A friend who works at Google said he wanted to switch to bi weekly sprints on his team. His manager took him aside and said they don't use the term "sprints" on his teams at Google because it's insensitive language. Because not everyone is able to run fast. https://x.com/anothercohen/status/1729566411423384025?s=46
yes, it’s google! I once asked to make page background white and was reported to HR!
Ngl, great idea. The biweekly sprint concept is an outdated practice used by toxic managers to squeeze engineers for every last drop of productivity before burning them out and replacing them for fresh hires I wish I was kidding, but I only see toxic teams using this paradigm now a days
Dont say Biweekly -> bisexual gets offended Insensitive -> make it seem insensitive implies it is a negative thing
Yes once manager asked me for a page which was lying next to me since he wanted to everyone to write their idea on paper and pass it around. I handed him white paper and HR was involved because I handed white paper and it was racist to them.
