Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
I’m much younger than my cousin and we are both first generation immigrants. My niece is second generation. she is graduating from a prestigious university and will be a graduate student. I’m thinking to buy her some gift. What would you want from your (relatively young, not necessarily cool) uncle when you graduate? Any suggestions? Budget is $1000.
A nice watch would be a customary gift if you are willing to increase your budget.
I thought about this, but hesitated. I thought only kids from third world new upper middle class are into this, American born kids want good watches too?
Absolutely and they last forever and can carry sentimental value as well as be passed on.
A new phone is she has an old model ? Cash she can spend as she likes ?
a high five
A nice vacation package or an experience she wants to have.
+1 on this one
It depends on how prestigious of a university she is graduating from.
I hope you're being sarcastic lol
Not really. The OP provided that information so we could weigh it in our suggestions. Otherwise, that piece of information would be totally futile and could be looked at as bragging. Maybe, if she had gone to a less prestigious school she wouldn't be deemed worthy of $1000 by OP. Then we may be looking at a $50 budget.
Jesus! How about a card and $50 Lol
I’m sure this is enough to make her happy:)
She went to a good school. How about buy her nothing.
Or something symbolic like a pen
