need some advice

i was laid off from a tier 2 company a month ago, now i am about to reach an offer stage with 2 companies and i am confused on how to chose 1st one is not a big brand TC is around 175k (remote) really like the people, title and impact i can make 2nd is cisco grade 8 i think it'll be around 160-180k in North carolina don't like the role much, but as im on Visa and laid off i applied for it Cisco might even go higher as I have a lot of relevant experience. Also, what's the range for grade 8 and 9 at Cisco? Should i pick Cisco or Non-brand company? It is listed on NYSE , but its yearly revenue is about 2-3B TC 0 laid off

Sounds like you like the remote job a lot more. Go for that.

Do you value perceived stability and TC more, or do you want interesting projects and working from home?

i want stability, the no brand company has never laid off, and they have 5 headcounts approved , so im guessing it should be safe in terms of layoffs.. but im just scared cause was laid off

Sounds like you already made a decision then. ^^ So, only thing left is to decide how much of a premium Cisco would have to give you for you to change your mind.

Don’t undervalue working with people you like on stuff you’re interested in.

Cisco doesn't have grade 9

They do, actually. You are correct that it's being phased out and certain BUs don't have it, though

Would probably be easier to get a job at Cisco in the future than the other company your comments and post are leaning towards

Another factor, how supportive is other non-cisco with Visa sponsorship and GC process. Cisco would definitely support Visa process. However, I had worked for a startup 10 yrs ago, which supported Visa process even better. Just one more factor to think. Feel free to DM me on Cisco
