Isn't Bumble better than Tinder ?

Still making 10 figures a year while being very cheap to run, so no.

Tinder has destroyed the fabric of society by monetizing relationships

Anyone know similarly for Grindr? (not joking, straight guy here but I keep having a recruiter reach out to me)

Tinder slapfester Jan 21

Grindr recently fired like over half their workforce for trying to unionize and not return to office.

Interesting. Why unionize? Did that effort include developers? Are they fully remote?

A mass exodus and layoffs are on the near horizon. People waiting for stocks and bonus to hit their accounts in March. Leadership has no vision (this is public information just read our earnings transcripts and some recent articles about Tinder/Match) Engineering culture is really bad mostly because 1. enormous amount of unmotivated coasters 2. zero innovation since 2019 3. people mostly do things for visibility and political reasons and not because they actually want to solve real problems. 4. inexperienced middle and top management with no proven record or experience of actually running engineering teams unless you’re struggling to find a job in the market or are in the early stages of your career, personal recommendation would be to stay clear of this company. 3 days RTO at the moment, I bet it will go up to 4 -5 days by next quarter. Also, the execs have a history of taking U-turns on their decision with absurd or absolutely no logic or rationale. No more remote Hinge on the other hand is doing great, consider applying.

Thank you! I’d do hinge if they hiring can you refer?

Currently doing hybrid with 3 days in the office, not allowing remote at all. There aren’t any plans to do more than 3 days in the office. Our stock is low and outlook is a little bleak, so it might not be exciting like a growing startup (but maybe good to get RSUs with such a low strike price?), but I get along great with my coworkers/ managers and overall enjoy working here a lot. Non-toxic work environments are very valuable if you ask me. There are a handful of toxic people and it looks like they already commented here, but most aren’t bad. Work life balance is fantastic. If you know what you’re doing and can deliver things in a reasonable time, you can take PTO whenever and leave early on Fridays. Very low stress environment (until a deadline is approaching if you’re behind). Happy to answer any questions if you want to talk to someone who doesn’t hate their job here lol

My experience has not been as bad as others have mentioned here. Your career path really depends on you at Tinder. If you are a go getter you will do well here. Most People are nice and easy to work with. Definitely lot of people just resting and vesting as Tinder does not have PIP culture but that does not bother me because I get satisfaction from my work and accomplishments. Slock is ATL which does hurt the moral but at times like these, it's good to stick with a company to make an impact and also bag stocks at low prices. Happy to help if you have any other questions.
