1. Does vesting start first quarter after joining? Or we have to wait for a year? 2. Do they never give sign on bonus? Thanks!
Used to be one year but I believe we just changed to immediate. It’s more like 4-6 months because they price your RSUs after first earnings and then it’s the vest after that. Recruiter should be able to provide examples.
Thanks! How about sign on bonus?
No sign on bonus and I would just say snowflake is probably one of the worst companies to work for. Super political, no career growth, pay for performance is capped only to one deviation above market rate, insane pressure to perform every 12 weeks until you burn out and they will then replace you. Source - worked there 5 years
One of the worst companies I’ve worked in my career, already interviewing. Extremely toxic Politics Quarterly planning Quarterly appraisal
Offers from Nov 2023 time do not have a cliff for RSU vesting.
I dont get some replies from snowflake folks, they say they are burnt out and toxic politics and high perf pressure every quarter but then they say they have been working there for 4-5 years. My question to you guys is if you hate snowflake so much, why didnt you leave earlier like after a year?
Millions of dollars. Left right after that ended
Those are pre-ipo people who tolerated the BS so that they don't have to work again.
1. Quarterly vesting. When you join you’ll be given the first vest date on your offer letter. Because not everyone joins at the same time your first vest might get delayed by 4-6 months BUT your stocks are prorated so you won’t miss those. 2. We never give sign on bonus
Isn’t there a one year cliff?
That’s the question. Does vesting start from first quarter or only after the first year (and after that may be quarterly)?
No cliff as of like 6 months ago
