Tech companies to avoid as a white guy?
Business is cratering i hear. AIP is a wrapper on Langchain. Sales org is collapsing. Entire "mission" now is just to pump the stock price with hype and clickbait. Ok, it's not ALL hype, like obvi there is a product and it's impressive, but it's like 50% hype. #palantir
But don't they have solid DoD / CIA $$$ pipeline? Unfortunately ignore the poor lives / collateral damages in Ukraine & Gaza?
That pipeline isn't as lucrative as they like to say
Well that's actually kinda nice to hear. Thank you
Hope someone inside the company comments on this
Always has been
Had a recruiter reach out to me actually for Backend Infra. Not sure why Palantir is so great. The pay on levels FYI looks like the top end of L3. And it’s a flat structure so where’s the part where you get a cool title and $500K. I’m exaggerating a bit but idk what’s the incentive to join from a self-serving point of view.
There isn't one. You need to be high on the Kool aid to join them. They actively seek out people who like the idea of doing something "shadowy" liked to the government and intelligence agencies. The workers get to act all "classified" about what they do, so they can feel cool and hide how non-transferable the skills are. It's consulting for some of the most archaic and bureaucratic orgs out there. Total career killer once you look behind the curtain.
You’re actually retarded what do you know about their products?
It is pretty obvious that you did not even spend 5 minutes looking at their products.
This post really isn’t gonna age well
pathetic palantard.
I'm ex-Palantir and your post is 100% correct. It's all a scam. Gotham/foundry are google drawings so you can annotate maps and draw circles on charts. The only reasons they make money is because of how bureaucratic and sluggish the clients are—random gov sub-agencies. Contracts are also surprisingly small, unlike what you would expect from the headlines. The "ontology" is a total scam and is more a figure of speech/embellishment than any concrete technology. AIP is a total scam—as you correctly identified. Sales people are leaving the company in droves. All the smart OGs are gone. Spaghetti code. No project management, especially in Foundations (the new org for infra). Infra is a total mess, in fact. I'm surprised how developers even get work done there. Then again it's all new grads who didn't get return offers from their legit FAANG internships so they're stuck at PLTR and they get high to the culture about "advancing Western institutions" (lmfao- aka pumping a meme stock so the founders can finally exit this scam 20 years in the making). Oh, and one more thing: Palantir has blocked all employees from signing up for blind since 2022/early 2023 (sends an alert to your manager). The only Palantir people on blind are HR/marketing shillers.
I know Foundry and Gotham users who are more than impressed and satisfied with the product. I don’t think that infra is a mess, especially with Apollo managing the deployments. When did you work @Palantir?
I got to say Apollo is pretty cool. Space-ex when did you leave, roughly?
And you’re an idiot
Lol didnt get MS return offer so you're stuck at palantir ng?
Huh
