hi everyone - i recently joined a new startup in the career education space (no it’s not bytedance so pls don’t clown me on that) what tips do you guys have to be a successful PM at a startup? what do you do to understand problems in your product? what do you wish you knew as a first time PM? one of my concerns is that we do sprints every 2 weeks so i’m not sure if that means i need to come up with new ideas every 2 weeks. does it all depend on me to make sure it’s successful? is that the pressure you’re supposed to feel? i will also be asking my manager these things but super curious to the community’s thoughts. everyone at the company is super nice and helpful so far so that’s something i’m not used to. i’m used to fighting for my life for an idea / feature, problem so this feels uncomfortable yoe: 3 product yoe: 1 week tc: 145k
Make sure you get good sleep because after 90 days you won't get any
