J&J has fairly good reviews on Glassdoor. Any truth to these? I'm specifically interested in what it's like to work at J&J pharma. Thanks in advance.
It's a very good company to work for, especially if you are raising a family. It's not fast paced but it cares for it's employees, good benefits. Work is good in a few teams only. So if you are early on in your career and want aggressive growth, it may not be for you. Reorgs may also be a thing to worry about but it's not specific to jnj. Company culture is good.
Hey it's fine to work here. As other comments have said it moves pretty slowly but you'll meet a lot of company oriented people, a lot of which have been working for here 20 or 30 years. Personally it's not really my speed but it's a good place to work.
How are they about hiring older workers?
Good, there's quite a few 40-50 year old employees.
Great company to work for! Great pay and benefits. Especially good if you have a family, as the culture is very supportive of work life balance. I’ll stay as long as possible.
How many years have you been there?
J&J is a good company. Great work and family life balance
Since the OP mentioned Pharma I think it’s fair to say the intensity varies between R&D and commercial. Commercial can be a very intense environment depending on the TA and associated pressure and people move roles quite often. In R&D people stay in role much longer and pressure is a bit less but can spike in specific functions.
I’ve been a consultant with J&J for more than a year and it’s a great place to work. Highly collaborative and positive environment. People truly support and care. And some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
I’m a consultant for J&J Pharma (Janssen) right now. Happy to answer any questions about it. Been consulting with them for 8 months from big tech firm.
