I am having multiple interview lined up for software developer position at TCS. Is TCS good company for entry level student. They're paying fix $70k + $2k bonus. Update: TCS recruiter told me that we're happy to take your interview. And then never got back. After that 12 recruiter viewed my profile on LinkedIn and mailed to send my details none of them revert back. Is this normal ? Also, currently I'm don't have any job so I really appreciate of anyone could refer me to any of the companies for new grad position. Thank you! #TCS #softwaredevelopersalary #softwareengineersalary #tech
Not from what I’ve heard here on blind
What’s the location?
Dallas, TX
70k in Dallas is literal 🥜
Why do you want to work for WITCH ?
Only interview I got. Looking for a full-time job.
Then wait, try for more unless you’re going out of status soon.
It depends on client , TCS is body shop
Its ok if you just want the job to start but if you have skills you can get much much much better pay elsehwhere.
Last week, suddenly manager told me out project is transferred to another team. Whole teams contract is complete. You are free. So desparately looking for a job. Could you provide Refferal for entry level job at Microsoft ? Full time experience 7 months
Unfortunately I am very new to Microsoft and its hard to socialize with managers to know about openings and refer someone. Apply for jobs at Amazon - you will get an interview for sure. Also be active on Linkedin and start adding recruiters and tAlk to them. Add Amazon recruiters too.
Yuck
Thanks. At Amazon 3 of my application are under consideration a week. They are not reaching me for the interview so this is the only option.
I went from Infosys to Amazon. The experience I got at Infosys actually did help me at Amazon. Just make sure you don’t get roped into doing support work for a client. But 70k is peanuts, you can easily double it at any FAANG level company at entry level.
Just accept the offer and keep looking. If you get a better one, then renege TCS else work for them. Ignore all the other morons who judge you for accepting it, because they already have a job…. You don’t.
Everyone’s perception of TCS is based off what they’ve read and some unfortunate people who had a bad experience in the interview stage. Being from there, it’s not as bad as everyone says. I’m not saying it’s great, but it’s not like the body shop hell everyone describes it to be. It’s literally just a tech consulting company like the rest of WITCH, Accenture, and Capgemini. They put you thru a 9 week web development bootcamp and after that you’re placed on client matching. A LOT of people did not get matched and basically were paid for nothing. It’s pretty hit or miss with respect to the matching, this is your time to practice LC while getting paid. I didn’t get this lucky as I had a client but I LC’d on my off time. If this is your only offer, take it! It’s easy money and you can get out as soon as you find something better. 70k is better than 0. No one is gonna judge you, do what’s best for you.
100% agree. Great advice.
Great advice. I did the same
It completely depends on the client, project and sometimes location due to local ODC. As a new grad, I got to work on my desired tech ie. ML in a good project for BOA. Was a valuable experience.
