with all the recent layoffs, is uber freight going to be touched? they seem to be immune to this recent wave. also, what are the sev packages looking like? seems people under 2 years+ are getting screwed?
You get your salary for a month from layoff date and them 5.5 weeks if you're under a year. Not sure about folks who were there longer.
What about stock? They completely rip that from you?
Nope, you get RSUs prorated
Cruise is hiring getcruise.com/careers/jobs
freight is untouched. they are actually expanding
Why is that? And why aren’t the ones being laid off transferred towards freight?
a ton of internal transfers already happening. idk why freight has always been untouched
“Under 2+ years” means all employees
Under infinity employees
Freight is untouched and the CEO confirmed its the last round of layoffs. Freight is doing well and has respected leaders. I’m not in Freight, but if I picked any org that would be it.
ceo confirmed last round for this yr only. open season come jan 2020
No where is safe until making profit
Freight has major attrition problems - Like 75% of the first 100 launchers are gone because of incompetent leadership. IMO it’s a facade that will eventually reveal itself
Just because people were first, it doesn’t mean they were good/best. Freight is going strong with lots of room to grow at multiples to current run rate. Take it from someone inside rather than at Facebook. L5/8 YOE
it means leadership has problem
