I use slickdeals for most things and buy cheap beer TC: 260k
Always go for store brand
Unless the unit price is cheaper for the other brand(for example on sale / bigger item)
You might as well drink good beer if you live in the Bay Area. It’s one of the perks.
I drive 18 year old car
Damn, that's an old car. I recently moved to the bay area and was going to get a 5-7 year old car, but given the inflated market, I ended up getting a new Mazda3 at MSRP under 24K. At least my rent is 2100 for a 2 bedroom so there is that
She is old, but she is a beauty. I do all the basic maintenance myself and it runs very well.
Frugal on cars, upgrade the champagne.

We appreciate your frugality. I buy Amazon basic clothing using my Amazon reward points.
Blind's definition of frugal is penny-wise and pound-foolish. Going for store brand over brand name saves maybe $1000 per year if you're buying a ton of stuff each year. Meanwhile, you're choosing to live in the absolutely most expensive part of the country because you're tied to your top-line TC number even though a slightly lower comp in a much lower COL area would net you an additional $20k per year in net worth.
1500 including rent!? What’s your tc???
This is new level of frugal
