Product and Tech leaving in droves, leaving less experienced dummies behind. How's your company dealing with attrition? #SOS #engineering #software #product
This is the story of every single NYC company that's not core tech, from what I've seen. Might be the same everywhere really. The salary discrepancies between finance and tech have finally become way more pronounced, and remote roles opening up across the country has made staying in finance kinda pointless for most skilled tech people. Not sure about product, maybe it's the same.
Nice. Lots of opportunities for WITCH people then.

Companies have to deal by raising TC
Amazon is bleeding too. We mostly lose talent to FB/Google/Stripe. I guess AMEX mostly loses talent to Amazon or similar tire companies. Everyone is looking for an upgrade.
This is cyclical circulation of talent that didn’t happen during the last year and half due to pandemic uncertainty. I expect it to stabilize in another year. One company’s loss is another’s gain.

That’s the story of every bank. I am pretty sure Amex will be around for next 50 years or so. Relax.
