This question targets each city only, and not its larger metro area. The reason is that tech suburbs are not statistically representative of the nearby hub city, from a demographic standpoint. Living in Redmond as a single guy in his 20's is not a statistically valid sample of Seattle dating life, just as living in Menlo Park is not a statistically valid sample of San Francisco dating life.
Both are bad, move to NY
Man this question again lol
Stop being straight. Start dating males. It's so much simpler and so much more fun.
Sounds good, doesn't work
Both suck
LA
Neither are as good as NY, Miami or Rio but they are absolutely fine unless you're as socially awkward as Jeff's text messages.
I imagine it must be tough to find women with brains in Miami or Rio. But I absolutely loved Rio and would like to go back. The women are unbelievably hot and friendly. Seems easier to hook up with or date a 10 there than in any other place I've been, especially if you learn some Portuguese
I wouldn't say that at all but then again that depends on who you hang out with in those places. If you are there as a tourist I would imagine it would be hard especially if you don't speak portuguesse. Same for Miami. Being in the right circle will dictate the caliber of women you will meet at any of those places.
According to census data the SF gender ratio is like 50:50 so that's not so bad right?
The gay community is probably a healthy chunk of that though
But is it mostly gay guys or girls?
If SF dating is so bad for guys, why are there so many single women here struggling to find a partner?
Is Portland better than SF/Seattle?
Only if you prefer to date poorly educated potheads with bad tattoos and grungy piercings. Relative to SF, it's easier to get laid in Portland but imo the massive drop in quality makes it not at all worthwhile.
I don't know. I've been to Portland twice, during summer, and each time I saw pretty attractive women at bars and lounges. What you're describing could be true 5 to 10 years ago. What stood out for me was women there were dressed pretty classy compared to what I see here in SF, but that could be because it was summer and they wore nice dresses and short skirts and in SF you don't really have that opportunity. Granted it's less diverse, but that's slowly changing too and last time around I noticed plenty of asian women out in the streets. I could be wrong though. This has been my limited observation.
