Got a verbal offer from Amazon AWS L6 TPM at Seattle but also looking at very likely principal promo this September. Current team Azure at L64 and I was told promo waiting on vp and hr. Current TC 235K, YOE 15 Amazon offer L6 Sr. TPM at AWS, TC offer 278K Stay, Accept offer (leave now) or Negotiate? #amazon #microsoft
Doesn't 65 make you eligible for L7? At least L7 seems to be a possibility.
Tried that with recruiter but it would be a new interview process and now it's too late.
Stay and try again for L7. L6 to L7 is a sweatshop

Don’t go L6 to Amazon. You will have to move mountains to get to L7. Stay or jump to G, Fb, get to E6. Then to L7
As of now turned down the offer and asked for 300+ comp. Meantime will know about promo next week.

Any news on promo OP? If Promo, how much did the comp increase. I’m in a similar situation with L64 and asked for 300+ (they offered 275) for L6 PM role at Amazon but they said flat out no. I’m in a dilemma whether to stay or jump ship and risk the crazy work for minor TC bump & AWS experience.
Promo pushed out to mid year. Renegotiated with Amazon and leaving Microsoft. 270+ is a good comp for L6 but 300k or above would be best given all the benefit you would miss. Push for 300 and above if possible.
L6 to L7 is beyond difficult at Amazon. Just FYI- besides the fact- the work expected is terrible at that level say goodbye to WLB.
Do you like your role at Azure rn? How much of a TC bump is L64->L65 jump?
Well, definitely WFB would change with Amazon and work at Azure does have impact. 64-65 jump is still unknown and won't know until few weeks but I think it would be 15-18%. I could be wrong. That is the challenge!
