I have been having wrist pains for a while now. Switched to Kinesis keyboard and it helps but when I type without it, it comes back. Anyone have better ways/suggestions to cope?
It is definitely due to your posture. Read up about it and try to maintain a comfortable posture.
tenosynovitis
I had a bad case of this when I removed the hand rest on my chair. It went away when I brought it back (and adjustrd to the right height)
I just started physical therapy for this. The number 1 thing that helps is a neutral wrist stance on keyboard. Start spending 5 mins a day on wrist and hand exercises. It is massively beneficial. 4 weeks ago, i couldnt type more than 5 mins. Now i can do an hour. The improvement is awesome.
