Apple basically has 0 relocation package, is it just me, or is it everyone? Apple only reimburses the travel fees and stuff like that, there is no 1 lump-sum? I am moving from Texas to Seattle
Where are you coming from? They moved me from the east coast and I got a $15k allowance and the option of paying to move all my things or another $5k to buy new stuff. Plus all travel and the 1 month accommodations and rental car. This was circa 2018 though
Is the allowance = lump sum cash?
yeah
I believe they give 10% salary to move. Maxed out at 15k. And you won’t get the money until after your first paycheck.
It says allowance equal to 1 month's pay. Is allowance = cash?
Ah okay makes sense. Yes it’s cash money
It depends where you are moving from. If you are coming from the bay area you won't get anything. Talk to your hiring partner and open up your offer letter. Everything is in there. If you can't read, don't accept the offer, you won't do well here.

Why do you keep asking this????
OP doesn’t answer where he is relocating from. If you are relocating from Sunnyvale to San Jose, expect Uber fare to be paid, not a relocation package.

Then you should get a cash allowance (approx 1 month pay) but it is capped to a number depending on other factors like geo and your level (not sure about this though). When I moved from Seattle to Bay in 2019, I got 12.5k lump sum and it was lower than my 1 month pay.
Where you moving from and to where
Is allowance = cash?
I don’t believe so. It’s mostly apple gift cards
Getting full pack and move of all stuff and cars, flights or reimbursement of driving, assistance from a local consultant to find housing and set up utilities, a month of corporate housing, storage of goods locally until housing is found, and a tax subsidized lump sump.
Is allowance = cash?
Yeah 1 month salary up to $12.5k tax assisted
You want a bigger cash sign-on bonus? Negotiate that. Relo is not a back door sign-on bonus.
I got one month of salary, one month of mortgage, reimbursement for breaking lease, and a few thousand dollars for self-moving (didn't hire moving service). It was considerable amount of money I moved within California (~100 miles)
did they pay the allowance upfront? or the sign-on bonus? or was this all after you already moved?
Is allowance = cash?
I hope this is /s

They pay for relocation, including your travel, moving costs, hotel for a few days etc. It’s not 0.
I didn't get the lump sum part, do they pay the lump sum? how come it doesn't say that?
Do you need more to relocate? Or you just want more money?
