#tech #salesforce Hi Salesforce folks, how is the Einstein Analytics Team (CRM)? Is it today still part of the Einstein team? Is it related to AI or machine learning in any ways? How important is this team to the company? Thanks!
Depends on how much of a breadth that team has. Einstein Discovery, Predictions etc. are also part of Einstein Analytics. These should involve good amounts of ML. They also acquired a bunch of ML startups over the past 3-4 years. They should be currently called as Tableau CRM if I am not wrong. As the precious poster mentioned, there is quite a bit of vague branding with Einstein in Salesforce. With respect to how important they are, before Tableau acquisition, they were a key component. Now, I am not sure since these two are competing technologies kinda seem to be forced into a single bucket now.
Yes, you are absolutely correct they are called Tableau CRM. Whatβs your take on the new Tableau CRM? Is it critical to the company?
Itβs tough to say. I personally think their importance is reducing since Tableau is such a big name, and they both are put in the same space. I donβt know much about Tableauβs ML capabilities. If they donβt have much, then Einstein has a good niche on Discovery and Prediction. If Tableau does have those stuff, then they are cannibalizing each other. Good question to ask them, I guess :).
Einstein Analytics is just a reporting/dash boarding system. Einstein is used pretty generously to refer to many things within the company, not all of those have AI/ML at its core.
How is the Einstein Analytics team? Is the problem space technologically interesting? Do you know which team does AI/ML?
