Read about it this morning. That a blind poster is being sued for defamation by loan street for a bad review on Glassdoor and Blind!!! https://www.dropbox.com/s/5g263cnc22yursj/Federal%20Court%20Complaint%2019%20Jul%2021.pdf?dl=0
I’m sure they’re such a good employer that they just want to correct some misconception! /s
The first time I read that it just seemed like it might have been an extremely unorganized company with no technical leadership and a shitty CTO. The lawsuit now makes me think the company is just malicious as a whole. On the bright side, smaller companies with no name recognition don't get the privilege of having bad working conditions with no repercussions. They are probably already hurting for talent, so this might just be a hail Mary throw to collect some money and keep the lights on a little bit longer. Plus, open lawsuits like this have really negative impacts on future funding rounds. As a series A, their risk management should have just told them to shut up and ignore it until it goes away.
How did they identify him?
Maybe someone sent dm saying they will provide Google referral and want resume?
Have to assume small company, easy to pinpoint???
Exactly. If the story is unique which it is.
Ohhh crap!!!!
Thanks for the link , just donated
Got this from original thread
Blind deleted that tweet. Guess they were afraid of getting sued too
Blind probably got the "fuck you I'm a lawyer" letter in the mail from LoanStreet and took it down.
This is very sad . 😔
Original post it seems Name & Shame: LoanStreet (NY) cheated me out of equity (Tech Industry)" https://us.teamblind.com/s/rRKGJAj3
From the original post link above, the OP seems to have misunderstood the equity portion, isn't it true to any company? I don't remember getting equity in 12months, it always starts from the board meeting, no? Orginal post from above link: snip Before I was hired, they told me my equity would start vesting after 12 months. After I started, they told me that they actually meant 12 months after the next quarterly board meeting, and I would only start to vest after 16 months.
