Is this possible? I’m 2.5 years in now and don’t want to leave. Does Amazon encourage or discourage people staying for 5-10+ year tenures? Current TCT 310k Career goal: Get L6 Get midband TC: 400k Exit race race Defend job for rest of my career
I mean if you can get TT every year then stay here otherwise your comp will tank after the cliff compared to other folks who moved around a bunch. Been here 5+ year and regret that I didn't leave early. Leaving soon now though.
What if I get L6 and am fine to chill with the 400k mid-band TC for rest of my career? Honestly it’s quite a high salary especially when working remote.
Yeah can't really complain with L6 pay, even at bottom of band. Just need to find a chill team with good WLB, which is possible despite all the stereotypes

Wouldn’t call refreshers “generous”. They are performance based. I guess that alone makes it a bad company to “rest” in.
Amazon refreshers suck. They factor in 15% stock growth YoY so the stock has to drop significantly for you to get more during the annual review.
