Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
I was hoping to apply to some big tech companies this year but given all the hiring freezes I think I'm going to take what I can get right now and prepare to apply next year. I have two decent offers compared to my current salary and need to figure out, what a decent "half step" to big tech might look like. (Based on company prestige, kind of XP gained working ect.) Salary is secondary but I'll list it: My current TC is 65k and Im deciding between a tech startup at 125k or a tech adjacent company (asurion) at 130k + 10% yearly bonus. My question is, which company puts me in a better position to apply to FAANG next year and why? EDIT: Additional info - Both roles are full stack Software Engineer roles. The startup focuses on front-end js frameworks while Asurion does backend js + database migration work #asurion #startup
Kind of hard to answer this poll withou knowing anything about the JDs or roles at either company. Lacking that info, higher TC.
I'll add that to the post but for you: Both are software engineering positions. The startup is a Full Stack front-end (ReactJS/AWS) position and asurion is full stack backend (NodeJS/AWS/SQL)
Whichever one gives you more time to LC
