Phoenix or Austin?

I am exploring both the cities in terms of job and housing market, mainly job opportunities. Phoenix is comparatively better in terms of housing market. I am not looking for investment reasons so appreciation is not a question.

But when you want to switch to another company in a year or two, you won't have much options in Phoenix(unless you are willing to take less pay or position). Austin is the hardware belt. Lots of companies. If I am buying houses for long term flexibility is a factor too.
