Hey Folks, an Amazon Sr SDM here, wondering about the org culture at Meta vs Amazon. I’d love to hear from any managers who have transitioned from Amazon to Facebook/Meta about differences in people management between the two places. What is the evaluation process like? Is there a curve that the staff rankings should follow? How about URA? While there a many things that Amazon gets right, identifying people to place in focus/manage out to meet the “target “ is not ethical, in my book. How does Facebook/Meta handle this? I have an option to explore a career in Meta, but am wary of finding more of the same. TIA TC: 520 YOE:21
Someone started a thread here 2-3 weeks ago about this topic, it didn’t get many responses (titled “role of managers at FB”). Btw, is your TC low/medium/high for Amazon Sr. SDM?
Thanks, will check it out. As for the salary, it’s about mid-range for the level.
