Who here that works in the 38 states that operate in front facing roles with business customers have been approved an extension in writing for their religious accommodation? If so how long was yours granted for. What I find incredibly hard to understand is how you can approve it prior then turn around and deny it. Then I have to go and dig and ask if there is a an appeals process and am finally told I can resubmit against company guidelines only to not be told an update for heading on 3 weeks now since February the 15th. I also don't understand how they can let me go meet clients, go to roadshow events and be around my same colleagues that are in offices and yet I am threat to go in office yet they will let plumbers come in the RBOs wearing a mask but not a business rep. Also I love how our fearless leader touts D&I and BEYOU and caring about employee health yet you don't mandate this in retail or 10 other roles for that matter. The last 2 years it didn't matter and now it does. Meanwhile GE Google and big airlines pulled their mandate back but we haven't? What is being done to the business side is discrimination and violation of your civil rights title 7 and forced layoffs at its best. I get it if you need to thin the herd but handling things this way and stating you are D&I and about BEYOU is disgusting. Thanks Mikey #T-Mobile
I feel for you man! I got mine approved at a public company right before I joined AWS. I pray it will get accepted! I can’t speak to the appeal process :(
Just curious, couldn't make out head or tail from Ops post. What approval did you get from public company before joining AWS?
So I applied based on “my sincerely held believe that an unwanted substance in my body goes against God’s law that my body is a temple.” That was it. Nothing else. A sincerely help believe cannot be challenged. Never mention “aborted cells” because I’m pretty sure one of them doesn’t use them. I was already quasi-fully remote, so I officially petitioned to remain full remote and wear a mask at all offices around the world, as well as customer sites. It was approved with no objections. Company was located in Canada, our office and customers in Texas. Of course customers don’t care if you wear a mask here.
Sir, this is a Wendy’s
Which religion has a valid anti vacc excuse
Actually Christianity does. The Bible says the body is a temple, and therefore you have complete control over what you put inside it. “How come you have other vaccines?” Because I wanted those. Therefore, it’s not a problem. But I don’t want this one. It is my sincerely held belief that legally cannot be challenged. I used this at my last company and it worked flawlessly. I’m actually not super against COVID vaccines, but I would prefer to not have it.
Corporations are people too, and they can choose who NOT to allow in their “bodies” (offices) and prevent undue risk to their other employees.
TMo let a Director in Security go for not getting vaxxed. He’s arguing about it on LinkedIn. Good luck to you.
It was a Sr.Director
Perhaps they’re actually terminating you for a lack of confidence in your ability to use good judgement in carrying out the duties of the role. Given your decision/claim to be informed yet your words scream ignorant, your choice to put said ignorance on full display here publicly…I have to admit your judgement seems questionable at best. When you consider The Pope, Dalai Lama, and nearly all the prominent faith leaders around the world strongly encourage getting vaccinated…the whole “religious exemption” is a tired and worn out excuse. I suspect you’ll find a more sympathetic audience posting on P@rlor. :)
