Paradox: The better the Tinder algorithm, the worse retention thus lower revenue for Tinder. Can’t think of another company/service (besides dating apps) where this applies. Resulting conspiracy: They don’t give you the perfect matches. They give you good enough matches to avoid frustration churn but not the perfect ones (that could result in long term relationships) also to avoid churn. Thoughts? :)
