Does Twitch still function like a start up after amazon bought it? Do people get twitch stock or Amazon stock? Any plan to IPO in the future? How’s the exit upside?
My roommate works at Twitch. They get the benefits of having a big company like Amazon (all HR/admin/immigration stuff is well sorted) but they get the insane perks of a start up, minus the stress. Don't know about office politics but my roomate goes at 9.30 and is back by 5.15. It's also one of the only Amazon offices with free food fwiw.
Insane perks? Days gone by. Amazon frugality has taken over.
perks are still pretty good. way better than Amazon.
Would you have fit issue if not being a gamer? Recently got the offer but feeling nervous going into this business not having been a big gamer
Yes. Don’t come if you don’t game.
i dont game and its fine
WLB is highly dependent on the team. I work 8:30 to 5 but my friends team does 7:30 to 8 consistently
That’s not how acquisitions work. There is no such thing as “Twitch stock” anymore. Twitch employees are Amazon employees. They attempt to keep their own culture, but beyond that it’s all Amazon.
