- Genuinely compassionate leadership that actually cares about their employees. Management's ability to understand what's going on, though, is increasingly limited. - Friendly work culture in most groups. Not uncommon to get bug reports with the code fix already pointed out. - The WFH culture is strong, but the work-life-balance is starting to erode in many groups.
- So many cooks in every kitchen. Things on one project can be at odds with other projects, and there's no management reconciliation or self-awareness. Product versus TPM versus engineering, and the battles are on full display. - Starting to attract middle-management in droves that seem more and more out of touch with the actual work going on.
Anyone know what the typical TC @MongoDB is like for a TSE? Location: NYC Base: 128k RSU: 65k / 4yr I will def negotiate but it feels super low #
MongoDB has strong reviews on Blind, and many employees on here seem quite content with their roles at MongoDB. Yet, according to LinkedIn, the median tenure at MongoDB is only 1.8 years. What gives?
Great Glassdoor and Blind reviews. Good pay stats on levels.fyi. Heard the people there are smart and passionate about what they do. Stock’s doing decent. I’m currently interviewing for a Product role and am pretty far along the process. I was on Reddit last night and read a post that big companies...Read more

I was looking up mongodb discussions to prepare for an interview and stumbled upon this I wonder if the 4.8 review will now change given that so many Amazonians want to go to MongoDB. Or are they going to find a better wlb after being at amazon and will improve the products.
Have two competing offers and would love folks thoughts. Both companies have great reviews here on Blind, seems like Reddit is the bigger risk, but potentially more upside post-ipo. Overall, Mongo seems like more money and a safer bet, but both have their strong points. Senior Level, base in CAD, eq...Read more
Why does mongo have such good reviews here? I’m not saying it isn’t great for employees, just curious as I lack experience with any other companies.
