I recently got hired as a contractor by Tata and I can't believe that a company of this size could be this pathetically dysfunctional. From manager to employee no one has any idea what to do. Their internal systems and applications are so horrible which really made me wonder if this is the kind of code they are writting internally then what a miserable job they will be doing for their clients. 6 weeks and they can't arrange for a lap top. They have 8 developers for a job that can be done by 2 developers onsite and max 4 developers at off shore. Still struggling with deadlines. I understand, that they are selected by client because they probably were the cheapest one out there. Its sad to see that in US where we used to value quality and admire productivity at work is now being replaced by quantity(cheap labor) so that CEO and stick holders can make more every year.
Lol. Damn..I just google as Sanskrit Hymns...
Are you a direct permanent hire with tata? Where are they tata centers in the US?
No, I didn't go full time with them..there offices, are all over us.
I think their main California office is in Santa Clara then their US HQ is in Cincinnati
I was once asked the plot of a movie. Once I told that I was hired.
Haha. Which movie?
I work with a lot of tata guys indirectly via a customer. Some nice people, good intentions, but the work quality and management is very, very poor.
Same boat. Yes. Then again you do find some hardworking people as well. The overall toxic work culture rubs off on all of them
Don’t.
I worked at TCL for a few years and we refused to let TCS bid on a big project we had. This is not surprising.
Yes, CIOs preferred companies like this because they are cheap. Why ? Because they were under pressure from American Investors to produce results every quarter so that their investment would grow. If quality was the priority , these kind of companies wouldn't be surviving here for this long. So, where does it start ? "Greed is good". Is it ?
Who doesn't like the value of their 401k increasing? Is there anyone who gets totally pissed off when they see their 401k jump in value?
^^^^ This is the short-termism destroying companies as we plan for next quarter financials to the detriment of strength 5 years away. The painful lesson we learned when quants almost destroyed the world economy now has to be re-learnt
There is a sign outside their office which says - “Trespassers will be recruited” #JustKidding
This😂😂😂
Serious?
Dead serious!
