Initial comp was great; refreshes are harder to get and you have no leverage
Very fragmented; too many product areas; lots of bureaucracy.

Does anyone know of any Python resources other than LC or HackerRank to practice basic data manipulation questions? Appreciate it. Also if anyone has general tips on Google DE’s loop interview process. TC: 200k #data #dataanalytics #dataengineer #google #interview #python #sql
Have a Google on-site soon and planning to use Python. What’s the trend these days? Camel case or snake case with Python in interviews? On LC I see pretty much exclusively camel case but I think that’s because most solutions are also written for Java and/or C++. #swe #google
Hi, I have google EM interview. I have picked code review in python instead of coding round. Does any one has taken code review round in python? 1. What are the expectations? 2. Which engineering teams in Google India work on Python or Golang? TC : 45 (IND) #google #india #python #golang #go #swe #engineering #software
I’ll interview at these places in 1 year or so and I’d like to choose a language to really master: this would mean choosing it for LC, studying it more in depth and trying to get projects/tasks at my current job where I could practice it. I’m currently decent at both, but expert in none. I’d pick ...Read more
I am still unclear how the team matching process at google works. Say I want to be matched with a team that works on python mostly or even just Java, would that be possible if I just tell the recruiter?

Most of the googlers I have spoken to only code on C++. I am not a great fan of C++ personally. I have great proficiency in Java Scala and Python. Will it be possible to find good teams at google who use these coding languages or will I be missing out on good teams if I dont choose to code in C++ #g...Read more

Bing looks more polished. Search results for me are comparable and sometimes, better than google search. E.g. 'what is async programming'. Top google search results are all gamified SEO articles that are worthless. Bing prompts are 'async await', 'sync vs async', etc. Google prompts are 'python', '...Read more
I've worked on latest tech stacks like golang, nodejs, python etc in my career and loved them Is it a good idea to join .net based companies Ps : I've worked on Java also & i particularly don't like that boilerplate language, but opportunities with good pay of Go/Node/Python are very less Should I...Read more
Hi guys, Just wonder if Google recruits Software Engineer roles (L4, L5) with Python and C++ skills (especially Python) in the UK. What I can see from Google Career are Android-related roles with required Java experience. Do they actually just need Java SWE and not recruit other skills like Python...Read more
To new python users, If you are learning python and generally use python console to practice or learn, try using "bpython". Its much fancier interface to python and provides syntax highlighting, auto complete, auto indent etc. Really good to use. Just wanted to share it if it helps you in anyway. ...Read more
