What worked for you?? What really was the difference? Do they go hand in hand?? Or ctci then epi?? Tc 150 Yoe 4 Leetcode 400~
Just started preparing for coding interviews. Decided to start with ctci since it's been 10 years since graduation. What's the best way to get through ctci quickly? I.e are there any chapters to ignore? Do problems from the book or just read the theory and jump to leetcode? Author herself says not t...Read more
I'm currently working through the book Cracking the Coding Interview. Should I focus on the exercises in the book and then back to LeetCode? Or do both at the same time?
I was just reading CTCI, and as a European getting ready to apply for internship positions in the US this statement caught my eye: “Additionally, for US positions, do NOT include age, marital status, or nationality [on your resume]. This sort of personal information is not appreciated by companies,...Read more
I bought the hard copy of CTCI.. but how does one use it at work, for example, when you take a break ? I thought I would be able to get an online version of it ! There is a google play version of EPI book, is that alternative reasonable ?
Trying to switch companies and wondering whether “Cracking the Coding Interview” is still relevant, or is LeetCode all that matters for interview prep these days?
Are CTCI and EPI mapped to Leetcode easy or medium? (To the best of your judgement) Multiple choices allowed.
is there any list created which maps ctci qurstions to leetcode. if so can someone share, appreciate it.
Google onsite interview coming up in approx 2 weeks. Ive been studying via youtube, pramp, and leetcode for about 1.5 months so far. I'm seeing more and more people suggest books like EPI over CTCI and I didn't know if CTCI is beginning to lose it's usefulness going into this new decade. TC: 🥜(I'm a sophomore)
Starting my LC grinding from 0, I'm targeting to prep for around 3-4 months. I'm mainly trying to prep for FAANG and similar tier companies. As Google is mostly based on conceptual understanding rather than just memorizing, I want to brush up on the basics and concepts first and going ahead with thi...Read more
Is it like a leetcode medium, or leetcode hard? Im talking about chapters 1-4, and 8(recursion).
I've been reading through CtCI and my data structure and other knowledge is so rusty that I'm having trouble reading CtCI, does anyone have recommendation for a book/books that goes over the basic concepts as opposed to how they're used in an interview? FWIW I am using an older version and the newe...Read more
Are there any books or interview prep material which are more beginner friendly/structured or something easier than CTCI: Cracking the coding interview? My friend whom I am mentoring just graduated from a bootcamp and I am helping in interview prep. He started with leetcode easy but is having a har...Read more

I’m prepping for interviews again and a lot of the questions in the book are either too easy or niche. Most companies don’t ask linked list or DP questions except for a select few and the hiring bar has gone up. Even companies offering mediocre salaries and benefits are throwing LC mediums and hards...Read more
Hey Blinders. 3 YOE and $175k TC in NYC. September is my target for starting interviews, and I've put in ~3 months of 1hr a day to get my resume updated and dust off data structures + algos from CTCI. With 3 months left, would it be worth another month to cover Math probs, DP, & sorting from CTCI...Read more
