Before Musk jumped in there was a decent design culture with a lot of talent.
Musk fired most of the design squad and killed the culture.
“In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce on Friday. Would love to see how the actual “you are being laid off” email from Twitter looks like. Can anyone share that?
I’m really starting to hate this guy. He’s so delusional. Has the mindset of “I work 80 hours a week, you should double the amount you work for the same salary.” As if telling people to what to do at an extremely high level is equivalent to writing a design doc, coding it out, testing it, and depl...Read more
All I can say is ‘ouch’… hard to imagine sitting at your desk all day flipping between email tabs to see if you’ve been given the boot or not.
How many Twitter employees wanting to choose “yes” or chosen “yes” already? And what is your thought process to be ok to work for more than 8 hours a day for no equity at all, please comment and tell me or DM me. I swear I won’t shame you, I really wanna understand the thought process. Please only T...Read more

Link any sources you may have. Thought greatly of Musk when I saw the Netflix documentary on SpaceX. Just hoping Twitter falls apart now and he loses billions. Hope employees do well. Just realized it is 5:00 PM Thu. Will wait until then. TC: 150K
Not sure if this is even ethical on Elon’s part and why will someone work for Elon’s companies in future ? #twitter
NEW: Joe Benarroch, who joined Twitter with CEO Linda Yaccarino and seems to be functioning as a head of comms, sent his first company-wide email urging employees not to leak. He asked tweeps to report colleagues who are suspected of sharing confidential info. Benarroch also told employees to repor...Read more

Hey all! In the midst of recruiting season I've been emailing product managers in companies I've been applying to for advice and even referrals. I've had generally good luck so far on most companies I've been applying to except for Twitter & American Express. Does anyone know the email format addre...Read more

Seriously who wouldn’t want to stay at a place where the boss is reading your dms and sending out emails with hidden white space to try to find leakers. Oh and you have to return to office tomorrow but never mind we are closing the offices because so many of you quit. Freaking hilarious. Can’t wait...Read more
Anyone know what's up here? "Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address. <support@twitter.com>: Unable to deliver message after multiple retries, giving up."
I’m wondering how much equity Elon is offering if you stick around? Is he giving people raises or equity stake to say yes? Or there’s no carrot to stay?
