You get to work with some of the best folks in tech, at least you used to. There are interesting problems to solve at scale.
Leadership used to be highly energetic, smart people with vision. The current CEO has slowly replaced those with corporate drones with limited tech experience who can mostly run a tape loop of asking for KPIs and keep folks busy with useless tactical reviews. Innovation has basically stalled and endless slide shows of almost the tiniest details have taken over.

Lyft reported another solid quarter but the stock tanked after hours and I candidly struggle to understand what they offer that Uber doesn’t? I bought Uber during the dip in March for $14-15/share. Was fine with the thought of swinging it or holding long term (2-3 years) but with them being out the autonomous race, missing on grubhub, the still TBD employee status fight in CA (and other super blue states entertaining similar legislation),...Read more
There’s a conversation across Blind and the internet about the Lyft IPO and whether it’s worthwhile to invest in their stock. The obvious risk is that this is a company that is losing a ton of money, is not the category leader and may never be in profitable. It is not inherently clear that Lyft’s bu...Read more
