You get to work with some of the best folks in tech, at least you used to. There are interesting problems to solve at scale.
Leadership used to be highly energetic, smart people with vision. The current CEO has slowly replaced those with corporate drones with limited tech experience who can mostly run a tape loop of asking for KPIs and keep folks busy with useless tactical reviews. Innovation has basically stalled and endless slide shows of almost the tiniest details have taken over.
Curious to see how many people actually tip and how much.
There are a lot of resources online for engineering jobs but there isn’t much for engineering manager interview. Any tips for in-person interview in SF? What kind of managers do they like?
I ordered some pizza today from Uber Eats. What I usually do is, I will put $1 for the tip, and then update it later to $3-$4 once the delivery arrives depending on the delivery and stuff. Today, the uber eats driver rang my door bell, and when giving me the food said “what do you expect me to do w...Read more

Does anybody knows why: 1. I need to tip uber eats driver after spending $6.99 on delivery, 10% on service fees? 2. Why driver tips are based on the price of products I order? I have a pretty low passenger score and I was trying to figure out why. Apparently drivers give low scores to people who don't tip. Drivers also have to rate passengers as soon as they get out of the car. I always tip using the app after, but at that point the driver has already rated me. I actual...Read more
