Can’t think of any due to executive level leadership. It was once a great company that was culture and people driven. That has been gutted with 2 major layoffs in the last 4 years.
With recent 12k layoffs, have to do more with less. Incredibly stretch goals that are unattainable which makes me think they are using it to justify further layoffs. Recent change in RTO policy = 5 days a week.
Does Airbnb ever give follow-up interviews if signals were weak on one round? Did great on 5/6 rounds but fell short on one round due nerves/luck. Wondering if they ever do follow-ups like G/FB for some candidates to get more/better signal or if it’s a hard rule to always give a straight reject in t...Read more
Hear me out! With ML and AI coming in, we can filter out all necessary resumes and auto send a form to fill. If 7/10 criteria’s match, auto send an invite for a 1-1 with the HM. Why do we still need recruiters at all? Auto setups take maybe weeks, maximum months. Rules are set. All we gotta clic...Read more

For coding rounds, passed all test cases and cleaned all follow ups. For system design round, I can’t tell if it is good or not, but the communicatio...Read more
Everyday I get between 2 - 5 messages on LinkedIn from third party recruiters, claiming to be working for x startup or y startup. As a general rule I've tended to avoid third party recruiters because they usually don't know shit and are just trying to fill roles. Am I doing myself a disservice by ...Read more

I know my timing was unfortunate, but recently I decided to pursue other opportunities outside of Microsoft more aligned with my interests. I am in perfect health and have athletic form. In late 20s living in the US. But on that day, I had been complaining about sharp left shoulder pain for two days in a row. 1) America has had migrants from the 1700s, followed by successive waves after WW1, WW2, Vietnam War, middle east wars, Afghanistan etc Migrants also create tons of small businesses, revitalize dying towns in the mid west and create countless start ups like Google, Instacart etc 2) Migrants need Am...Read more
I’m looking for a job that lets me work remotely/ aboard. What I’ve discovered there are a lot of companies that say they are “fully remote” but are in reality have a lot of rules around where you work. I know this has to do with taxes but I’m trying to find companies that truly don’t care. I’m look...Read more

I am moving from Chi to Bay Area for good even before my company gives me a green light. I communicated my interest in moving to my manager and higher ups, all are good with it, but HR told to wait until a year in the company because of recent Trump’s H1B salary hike (now there’s a stay on it) rule...Read more
