To all my managers on blind, are diversity quotas a real thing when hiring candidates/building out your teams? Are there rewards/punishments for not hitting yearly targets? #tech #career
Could a candidate with a strong background and solid performance in the on-site rounds get rejected only because of the diversity targets set by the employer (especially if the employer has to select one out of two)?

Maybe instead of diversity quotas we should have anti-quotas restricting how many employees can be hired from abroad. Eventually this will make the big tech companies invest in local communities to acquire talent from here ensuring adequate representation of the target groups.
